Mrs. Plants   

Mrs. Plants grew up on a farm east of Malcom and graduated from BGM in 1982. She married Ron Plants who farms. They have a 21 year old daughter, Sarah, who lives at home, a 20 year old daughter, Katy, who is a sophomore at UNI, and a daughter, Jessica, who is in 9th grade. In her spare time, Mrs. Plants likes to be outside, going for walks, attending children's sports activities, and spending time with her siblings and their kids. She enjoys working with the preschoolers and watching them succeed at new everyday challenges.   

Mrs. Schroeder

Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Schroeder graduated from Jefferson High School. She completed her education at U.N.I. where she met her future husband, Gary. They have lived in Odebolt, LeMars, and Brooklyn throughout their years of marriage.

Mrs. Schroeder's years as a teacher associate with BGM Elementary have been good ones. They've included helping with the Preschool and Pre-K programs and also assisting in the elementary library.

Mrs. Schroeder is currently an active member of PALS (Poweshiek Animal League Shelter), an organization dedicated to building a badly needed animal shelter in our county. For relaxation, she enjoys Saturday trips to Iowa City and Des Moines where she and her husband have fun discovering new restaurants and coffeehouses and browsing through bookstores. Their family includes four felines and an occasional "foster cat."
